Originally a watercolor artist, Dana Brown also works in casein to present softly detailed depictions of farm equipment, urban streets, and other mechanically complex scenes in a cropped, somewhat abstract view. Dana's work is clean and bold, with a palette ranging from layers of transparent glazes to richly opaque areas of color. Dana resides in Huntsville, Alabama and is committed to painting each day, preferring the morning light of her studio. Dana has received numerous awards from organizations such as National Watercolor Society and Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors. Her work is currently in the juried traveling shows of both the National and American Watercolor Associations.
